Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World is getting a third season.
The announcement was made at the special stage at AnimeJapan 2023, and a teaser for the upcoming season was also released on YouTube by Kadokawa.
A visual was also released to commemorate Re:Zero Season 3’s production announcement. The visual is drawn by Shinichirou Ootsuka, who made the original character designs for Re:Zero light novels by Tappei Nagatsuki.

Re:Zero is a popular anime that is known for its complex characters, interesting twists-filled story, and its “another world” setting. Fans are rejoicing the announcement of the new season.
The story is about a young man named Subaru Natsuki, who gets reincarnated into a fantasy world. The first season of the anime adaptation came out in April 2016 to massive success. The second season, which was split into two parts, came out in July 2020. The first part finished airing in September of the year, and the second part aired from January to March 2021. The anime so far has a total of 50 episodes, apart from two OVAs and special episodes.
Re:Zero Season 3 will cover Arc 5 from the light novels
Season 3 of the anime will adapt the light novels’ Arc 5, Stars that Engrave History, and some parts of Arc 6, The Corridor of Memories. Arc 5 begins with Anastasia extending an invitation to the camps of Emilia, Crusch, and Felt, to attend a gathering in the Watergate City of Priestella. However, this is disrupted when Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult take over the city, causing chaos and destruction. In order to save the city and defeat the evil forces, Subaru must unite all the camps and lead them in battle against the Sin Archbishops.
These arcs were well received by readers, and contain exciting fights against powerful villains. The anime is known for its stunning animation and voice acting, and these action-packed arcs of Re:Zero will be treat to watch in an animated format.
